Aretha Franklin’s Homegoing Information

After a lengthy battle with cancer,  Aretha Franklin went home to be with the Lord on August 16th, 2018 in hometown Detroit. Her family recognized how beloved she was by fans, so they are allowing all to say goodbye to the Queen of Soul during public viewing on Tuesday, August 28th and Wednesday, August 29th from 9 am – 9 pm at Detroit’s Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

In addition to two public viewings, there will be a musical tribute on Thursday, August 30th. Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, Shirley Caesar, Faith Hill, Ron Isley, Chaka Khan, Yolanda Adams, Jennifer Holliday and Aretha’s son, Edward Franklin are all scheduled to perform.
