Mary J. Blige almost upended a Cinema Society party for Alicia Keys’ executive-produced “The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete” at the amazing Jungle City Studios Wednesday.

We’re told event organizers were so worried Blige wouldn’t be done recording for her new album that they almost moved the party to another location.

But the singer was seen running out just minutes before the Tommy Hilfiger-sponsored bash started making way for guests like Sean Parker and his wife Alexandra and Maxwell to fete the film.

Swizz Beatz, order capsule Jennifer Hudson, Clive Davis and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje attended the screening at Tribeca Grand.
