Last night the NFL aired a montage to the greatest moments from past Super Bowl halftime shows but one iconic moment was conspicuously absent…
Back in 2004 Janet Jackson earned herself a lifetime ban from performing at the Super Bowl after she and Justin Timberlake pulled an epic PR stunt by having Justin rip Janet’s top off, exposing one of her breasts on national TV.
In the fallout that followed Janet described the clearly staged incident as a ‘wardrobe malfunction.’
Obviously the NFL still feels some kind of way about it, because last night they left Janet off the list of greatest moments in halftime history during a montage featuring James Brown, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder and others.
