Season 3 of “The Real” kicks off tomorrow! If you haven’t heard, the show will continue with just four co-hosts since Tamar Braxton’s departure.

R&B songstress Monica will appear on the show for their first celebrity guest where will open up about her “beef” with singer Brandy. News about Monica and Brandy beefing has been swirling around for years. In recent years, they have seemingly put it behind them (doing interviews and songs together), but it appears to still be some tension between the two.

Apparently, a fan asked Brandy if she would ever join in and drop some bars on the #SoGoneChallenge and she responded to the fan with “Girl, BYE!” (FYI – “So Gone” is the 2003 hit single from Monica and Missy Elliott for the young YBFers who may not have known).

Well, Monica is not here for the drama and is totally unbothered by Brandy’s shade. She said she’s on a journey of self-love and self-empowerment and that the situation was just a taste from God. She said it was just a test for her to always take the high road. “I wasn’t bothered at all,” she said.

When asked if she would ever do music with Brandy again, she said she would. She said working with her has never been an easy situation, but they come from an elite group of singers and a very special time in music. She said the only Grammy either of them has is together, so that to her says something special. “So, yeah. I absolutely would,” she said.
