Darius McCrary’s attorney slammed allegations of domestic abuse made by McCrary’s estranged wife Tammy Brawner.

Brawner, who is divorcing McCrary, claimed he abused her and their 16-month-old daughter Zoey. Among the allegations is he held their infant over a pot of boiling water.

Glen T. Jonas called the allegations against the actor “obvious and outlandish lies”.

Jones accused Brawner, a former Harlem Globetrotters basketball player, of fabricating lies to help her case in their impending divorce.

“She (Brawner) is a predator motivated by a desperate desire to extort money out of Mr. McCrary while trying to create an advantage in an impending divorce and custody battle,” Jones told TMZ.com. “Having floundered after being fired by the Globetrotters she apparently will say anything for a bit of media attention and a glimpse of the spotlight.”

The attorney also called McCrary “a loving, devoted and dedicated father”.

After a judge granted Brawner’s restraining order this week, McCrary was ordered to move out of the couple’s home and stay at least 100 yards away from her and their daughter.

A hearing in the case is planned for next month.
