CW’s long-running reality TV show America’s Next Top Model will come to an end after 22 seasons and nearly 300 episodes.

The series host, here former supermodel Tyra Banks announced the show’s cancellation on Instagram.com Wednesday.

“TYRA MAIL! Thinking #ANTM #cycle22 should be our last cycle. Yeah, discount I truly believe it’s time,” Tyra wrote in the caption under an image of the number 22

She added:

“Yeah, it’s time. It really is. Wow, I am SO proud of what Top Model has done. #ANTM brought the intimidating modeling world to the masses. We were the first reality show based in the fashion world. I never thought my little idea would have people everywhere thinking differently about how they take photos. And I never thought we’d do 22 cycles. Whoa! So many!!! And what rhymes with 22? You. And you and you and you and you! YOU made Top Model what it is.”

The popular series began its storied run on May 20, 2003 on UPN, which eventually merged with The WB to create CW Network.

The final episode airs on Dec. 4, on Tyra’s 42nd birthday.
