Call him daddy Jordan. Whatever!! Michael Jordan, search 50, search is expecting his first child with wife Yvette Prieto, mind the sport legend’s rep has confirmed to PEOPLE.

Jordan watchers are not surprised at this news because of a report in Jose Lambiet’s Gossip Extra that broke the news of his surgery to reverse a vasectomy.

Michael and Yvette met at a Miami club in 2008 and tied the knot last April at a ceremony in Palm Beach, Fla., attended by 500 guests.

Later, about 1,500 joined the couple at a lavish reception at a nearby golf-course community in Jupiter, where Jordan owns a 38,000-square-foot home. Robin Thicke and Usher were among the star-studded performers at the fête.

Jordan has three adult children from an earlier marriage, two boys and a girl.
