LeBron James was recently honored at Harlem’s Fashion Row with the Icon 360 Award, and during his acceptance speech, the basketball great took time to say some wonderful things about Black women.

“I was just thinking about the African American woman. There was a very easy example of why I think they’re the most powerful women in the world, because I had that example in my mother, every single day.”

King James also showered praise on his mother who gave birth to him when she was only 16, and raised him as a single mother while holding his beautiful 3-year-old daughter Zhuri in his arms.
