Kelly Osbourne to Leave ‘Fashion Police’

Kelly Osbourne is leaving “Fashion Police.”

The actress, singer and daughter of rock icon Ozzy Osbourne is leaving the show “to pursue other opportunities,” E! said in a statement to ABC News today.

“We would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers,” the statement added, noting that “Fashion Police” will return, as scheduled, on Friday, March 30, at 9 p.m., and that “no decisions have been made on her replacement.”

Osbourne, 30, has been on the show since 2011, but lost her mentor Joan Rivers last year when the comedian died at the age of 81. Since then, Rivers has been replaced by Kathy Griffin, and Brad Goreski was also new on the show.

This departure also comes days after the show dealt with the backlash from comments made about Zendaya Coleman’s dreadlocks at the Oscars. Host Giuliana Rancic said her dreads looked like they smelled like “weed.”

Rancic later apologized and Osbourne, who is friends with Coleman, acknowledged she was content with the outcome and her co-host’s apology.

“It takes a strong women to apologize & makes a forgiving women even stronger! #ThisTooShallPass,” she tweeted earlier this week.
